The Travelling Film Festival is returning to Mackay for the 50th anniversary! They are thrilled to bring only the world's best cinema to BCC Mackay at exclusive screenings!

Opening the festival is winner of the Sydney Film Festival Official Competition 2024, There's Still Tomorrow. Native to Italy, the box office phenomenon outperformed Barbie and Oppenheimer and is a moving empowering melodrama about an industrious woman in post-WWII Rome.

Another program highlight is new Australian awe-inspiring film The Blind Sea from Daniel Fenech. Following professional athlete Matt Formston the film depicts his biggest challenge yet - surfing the biggest wave ever tackled by a blind surfer!

Other highlights of the program include the funny and provoking drama set in New Zealand, We Were Dangerous from director Josephine Stewart- Te Whiu and executive produced by Taika Waititi. And Hu Guan's one-of-a-kind and delightfully canine-filled Black Dog which won a major prize at Cannes Film Festival. And more!
