The Mackay swing of the PGA Pro-Am Series is held over three venues (Sarina, Mackay and Pioneer Valley Golf Clubs).

These events are part of the National PGA Pro-Am Series which hosts over 100 events annually. The PGA Pro-Am Series allows local amateur golfers to play alongside some of the best professional golfers in Australia in their hometown, something that is not offered by any other sport.

The PGA Pro-Am Series has been running for over 40 years and this series provides the opportunity for local golf professionals to hone their skills before taking on overseas golf tours (e.g. US PGA Tour and European Tour).
