Finch Hatton is a small suburb located in the Pioneer Valley, west of Mackay. It is home to the landscape of waterfalls, lush flora and volcanic boulder formations called Finch Hatton Gorge, restaurants, cafes, accommodation and other attractions. Adventure opportunities at Finch Hatton are plentiful, with the opportunity to scuba dive in the rainforest waters with platypus, or to zip-line through the tree-top canopy.
The town of Finch Hatton has a general store, hotel, hardware store, school, ambulance and fire station. The showgrounds at Finch Hatton are also available for camping.
Finch Hatton Gorge is a must-see attraction. Take a refreshing dip in one of the nearby rock pools, a cooling haven favoured by locals in summer.
