Get behind your favourite Mackay tourism product, win $5000 in travel

Six Mackay region tourism operators are in the running to take out a ‘RACQ People’s Choice’ Award at the Queensland Tourism Awards (#QTA17) this year, and they need local support to get them over the line.

Voters will go into the draw to win a $5,000 RACQ travel voucher.

RACQ has launched two brand new categories for Tourism Experience or Service, and Accommodation, as part of this year’s #QTA17 and is asking the public to be the judge.

• Mackay Resort Motel
• Riviera Mackay
• Sarina Sugar Shed
• The Feathered Nest – Luxury Wildlife Retreat
• The Old Station Teahouse

Voting will close at 5pm on Sunday, 17 September.

Mackay Tourism General Manager Tas Webber said it was a fantastic opportunity to show just how popular Mackay tourism products are on a State level.

“Congratulations to the six operators who are in the running for a Queensland Tourism Award, as well as the RACQ People’s Choice Award,” Mr Webber said.

“In The Mackay Region, tourism is everybody’s business so we encourage locals to get behind our operators and show as much support as they can.”
