PADI Women's Day Dive
Mackay Tourism Member, and a favourite tourism experience, Rainforest Scuba, is pleased to announce that it will be hosting a PADI Women’s Dive Day, on 21 July 2018.
The Profession Association of Diving Instructors (PADI) Women’s Dive Day was created to grow and strengthen the female dive community. With events held around the world, the Women’s Dive Day aims to encourage more women to experience the underwater world for the first time, dive back into diving or continue their training.
Overall, this day is about bringing together the diving community and creating new ambassadors for our ocean.
Rainforest Scuba, which offers divers the opportunity to swim with the majestic platypus at the world-renowned Finch Hatton, will welcome both women and men to come and try scuba diving in a safe environment.
Rainforest Scuba Owner Luana Royle said the pristine waters of Finch Hatton provides the perfect opportunity to anyone interested in scuba diving.
"If you have never dived before this is a great way to come and learn in a safe environment. There’s nothing that eats you, bites you, stings you or drags you away in Finch Hatton to worry about, plus the water we dive in is relatively shallow, meaning inexperienced divers can relax, immerse themselves in nature and hopefully spot a platypus or two.
Mrs Royle continued "Everyone is welcome to dive, no experience necessary, men, women and children are all welcome”.
Scuba dives on the day will cost $80 for certified divers, and $120 for non-certified divers. Money raised will be donated to a local charity so anyone interested in learning to dive, or discovering our beautiful natural experiences will be doing so for a great cause.
More information, and registration details are available on the Rainforest Scuba PADI Women’s Dive Day 2018 Facebook event page.
